Meet Our Staff

Dr. Steven J. Fishman, M.D.

Steven Fishman, MD is a Board Certified Dermatologist who was born and raised in Liberty, NY.  A  humble, country boy at heart, Dr. Fishman feels it’s important Catskill Dermatology serves the local, rural community.  He graduated from Hobart College Cum Laude before attending the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

In medical school, through fate, Dr. Fishman became acquainted with Dermatology and published the first of many Dermatologic research papers. Dr. Fishman also was awarded the American Dermatological Association Medical Student Research Fellowship.
 
After graduating medical school, Dr. Fishman left the New York area to complete a residency in Dermatology at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans. Dr. Fishman presented his dermatologic research to the Southern Medical Association, Society of Investigative Dermatology and American Academy of Dermatology. Additionally, he underwent a great deal of training in Dermatologic Surgery and Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery.
 

Dr. Fishman has been in practice for over 30 years and is extremely experienced having worked a full schedule almost every day.  He has another practice in the Hamptons. www.hamptondermatology.com

 
Steven Fishman, MD is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai Hospital where he teaches Dermatologic Surgery to residents in the Mount Sinai program. He also “gives back” by teaching Medical Students, Interns and Residents at all of his offices helping foster their careers.

Loree Ann Stanton, RN-HT

Loree Ann Stanton was born and raised in Liberty, NY, and graduated with a Regents diploma from Liberty High School, majoring in science and minoring in business. She attended and graduated from Sullivan County’s first licensed practical nursing program. She then went on to pursue her degree as a registered nurse at Sullivan County Community College, graduating with high honors.

Loree Ann is also a certificated histotechnologist and a study coordinator for research groups interested in the newest biologic drugs for the treatment of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. She developed a special interest in cosmetic dermatology during the first year at our practice and has studied many aspects of cosmetic dermatology. Count on her to recommend the best therapy method for your skin, hair, and nails.

Loree Ann holds certifications for our diode and intense pulse light lasers and has successfully finished training courses for Botox, Dysport, Blu Lite/photodynamic therapy, and various volumizing fillers.

Jennifer Thornell, PA-C

Jennifer Thornell, PA-C was born and raised in Bennington Vermont. She attended Kings College in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania graduating in 1998 with bachelors degree in physician assisting. 

 

She practiced orthopedic trauma for two years in Allentown Pennsylvania. She then moved to New York where she practiced emergency medicine and urgent care medicine at multiple hospitals and practices in Orange and Sullivan county.

 

She is an established physician assistant in these communities for 23 years.

 

She’s also certified in BLS, ACLS and PALS.

 

She is excited to have the opportunity to pursue her passion for Dermatology and become a part of the Catskill Dermatology family.

Christina Miller,
DNP, CRNP, FNP-c

Christina is from a small rural town in Pennsylvania, bordering NY and NJ. She graduated from nursing school in 2018 and received the Nurse Education Service Award and the Academic Achievement Award for her service to her college and peers and maintaining the highest GPA throughout the nursing program upon graduation. As a registered nurse, Christina worked in several specialties including Neuro/Trauma, Labor and Delivery, and Critical Care. While employed as an RN, she returned to college to begin her journey of becoming a nurse practitioner. She graduated from a dual-degree program through Misericordia University in Dallas PA with her MSN specializing in family nurse practitioner in May 2023 and her doctorate in August 2023. She completed her BSN, MSN, and DNP with a 4.0 GPA and received the Clinical Excellence Award upon graduation from her family nurse practitioner program. She was previously employed as a family/internal medicine nurse practitioner, providing primary care to patients across the lifespan. During her time as a nurse practitioner, she developed a passion for dermatologic disorders and decided to join our team! In addition to Christina’s role as a nurse practitioner, she is also an adjunct professor for the SCCC/PCCC nursing program and lectures on varying topics and disorders including immunology and endocrine disorders to senior nursing students. Christina is nationally certified in Family Medicine through the AANP and she is a member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners (SDNP) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
